Crisis Accommodation and Housing Support
Women and Children’s Refuge
Our refuge provides safe and secure short-term crisis accommodation for single women and women with children.
At the refuge, each single woman or woman with children is allocated their own room. Living areas, bathrooms and kitchen facilities are shared. A wheelchair-accessible room is also available.
Staff are on site 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday to provide case management and support. Staff are also on call for emergencies outside of business hours.
We have a dedicated Child and Family worker available as well as Aboriginal and CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) staff available to provide specialist support.
There is a fee for staying at the refuge, however this may be waived if individual circumstances require.
Other Housing Solutions
Our staff are able to support you to apply for crisis, medium or long-term accommodation through Housing NSW, community housing providers and private rentals.
Case Management and Support Services
Case management is available to women and children staying at the refuge or as outreach support.
Staff support clients to identify and prioritise goals and develop a plan for achieving those goals. Staff can provide information, advocacy and referrals for safety planning, financial assistance, legal issues, health, counselling, employment, education and social and cultural connections.
